TYBEE ISLAND – Donna Kay Corley, 53, died Monday, August 20, 2012 in Savannah.
Ms. Corley was born in Savannah on August 8, 1959. She was a longtime resident of Tybee Island where she was deeply loved by many of the residents there and their children as she cared for many of them over the years.
Ms. Corley was preceded in death by her brother, William E. Daley. She is survived by her mother, Rose Daley Shipes; father, John Stephen Womble, Sr.; daughters, Nichole L. Corley of Whitemarsh Island and Tiffany E. Corley Dorsey of Pooler; maternal grandmother, Mell Rose Rich; grandchildren, Taylor S. Rigdon, James W. Dorsey, Jr., Morgan N. Dorsey, Mary E. Dorsey, and Jessica L. Dorsey; brothers, John Stephen Womble, Jr., Roy Daley, Johnny Daley, and Eddie Daley and several aunts and uncles.
A gathering celebrating the life of Donna Kay Corley will be held Friday at 6:00 p.m. at the south end of Tybee Island at 16th Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Benny's Tybee Tavern, 1517 Butler Avenue, Tybee Island, GA 31328 to assist the family with funeral expenses.
